Creative Dance
20- or
40-Session Residency for Grades K-12
Students learn how to create movement phrases based on the elements of dance. Students then learn how to connect movement phrases together to create a whole dance. A major bonus in this residency is that the dances are based on what is being learned in the general classroom (ie, water cycle, (non-) living things, branches of government, the Constitution, multiplication tables, nouns and verbs, physics, civics, etc).
